[Lausanne,Switzerland] – [27 March 2025] – OKAPI:Orbits, a leading provider of end-to-end space traffic management solutions and debris mitigation, is pleased to announce a new cooperation agreement with the Space Sustainability Rating (SSR), a pioneering initiative designed to promote responsible behavior in space. This partnership signifies a major step forward in fostering a more transparent and sustainable space environment.

Under the terms of the agreement, OKAPI:Orbits will leverage its cutting-edge expertise to compute sustainability ratings under SSR's responsibility for their customers. OKAPI:Orbits brings their advanced risk analysis capabilities and expertise into the SSR framework for this collaboration.

Beyond rating computations, OKAPI:Orbits and SSR will collaborate on the development of SSR’s technical capabilities. The Space Sustainability Rating (SSR) provides a rating system informed by transparent, data-based assessments of the level of sustainability of space missions and operations and is designed to encourage and recognize sustainable practices among space actors. It evaluates space mission sustainability across various criteria, including debris mitigation, collision avoidance, and data sharing.
